The Magician Returns ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽฉ๐Ÿ˜

June 2017 is a hyperbusy month for me. I have schedule to make the highest number of presentation in a month, throughout my research life. Phew… ๐Ÿ˜ฐ

It starts from:

1st June, then 9th, ย 12th (one of the most important ones), 19th, 25th, and 26th. SIX presentations on different topics and scopes within a month!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Besides preparing for the presentations, I have my experimental plansย ๐Ÿ”ฌ and paper work on-going as well. At some point, I am feeling like sitting in a pressure cooker and got nicely pressed ๐Ÿ˜ต. Haha!

After my first presentation on 1st June, Le Supervisor walked in to our office: “It was great, Angelyn. Well done! ๐Ÿ˜Ž”

“Oh, thank you. ๐Ÿ‘‹”, not really impressed because another one is coming soon and I have to grab all the time I have and start preparing. *typing typing typing….๐Ÿ’ป*

He was checking on his mailbox: “Awww, Angelyn, can you please come and look at this…”

I had a quick read… Hmmmmm…. It’s about a famous musician in Japan requesting to have a concert in our instituteย ๐ŸŽป๐ŸŽถ.ย Le Supervisor is the coordinator for that.

“I’m thinking to do some interactive activities with the members of our institute after the performance, but I have no idea ๐Ÿ˜•. Angelyn, I know you were leaders in many organisations before and organized many events. Can you suggest anything good?”

I turned around: “Well, what kind of audience do you expect? How many people will be attending? What is the aim of the activities you gonna have?…*Endless of questions ๐Ÿ˜œ*…..”

He gave me the answers.

“I usually do magic tricks ๐ŸŽญ, showing the audiences something amazing, and teach them some tricks in a funny way. It would be interesting and interactive I guess. ๐Ÿ˜‰”

With his eyeballs popping outย ๐Ÿ‘€: “Magic tricks??? I don’t know that. Have you ever performed that? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ”

“Yeah, I used to perform magic tricks to young cancer patients in the hospital, and some old folks. It was fun! I always made them laugh so hard โœŒ๐Ÿ˜. Hahaha!”

He took a few seconds to think: “So on that day, I imagine you instruct me on how to do it, and WE perform the magic together? ๐Ÿ˜”

In my heart: “Huh??? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Since when there is a “we” in the program plan??? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ I didn’t even agree to be part of the project.๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ” I think I translate the questions into facial expression very efficiently. He noticed that. LOL!!! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

“Angelyn, would you assist me in organizing this event and be my partner for the interactive sections? ๐Ÿ˜Ž”

Ahhhh…. here comes the invitation…. ๐Ÿ˜… It’s hard to say No because he sounded so sincere. ๐Ÿ˜

“Oh, when is it?”, checking on my schedule.

“Some time in June. The time is not fix yet. If you agree, I can let you to decide the date and time. I will get everyone to just listen and follow. ๐Ÿ‘”

“Hmmmmm…. June is kinda busy…. I want to be fully prepared for the presentation on 12th, so I can’t do it if it’s before that. ๐Ÿ˜‘”

“Ok, so I will inform other members in the project, ‘Not before 12th, the magician Angelyn is busy before 12th!’ Awww, Angelyn, I can’t wait to see your magic show!!!”

So, that’s it. Instead of looking forward to seeing me performing well in my presentations, my supervisor is excited to watch me doing magic instead ๐Ÿ˜‚.

The date is decided, on 16th June, the Magician Angelyn returns…. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
